1. Close the water inlet valve
(1) Prepare repair materials and disassembly tools first. Before repairs, you need to close the water inlet valve in advance to avoid continuous water leaking from the water pipes and wasting water resources during repairs.
(2) First use a tool to remove the small screws on or behind the faucet handle, and then remove the handle fixed on the faucet body.
(3) If you can't find the screws, you can check under the metal buttons, plastic buttons or plastic sheets. Many screws will be hidden under them. These buttons or plastic pieces snap into or screw into the handle. As long as you turn on the button, you will see the handle screw on the top.
2. Remove the spool
(1) After removing the handle, check the parts of the faucet first, and use large slip joint pliers or an adjustable wrench to remove the packing nut. Do not leave scratches on the metal, which will affect its appearance.
(2) Rotate the spool or shaft in the same direction that the faucet is turned on, loosen them first, and then unscrew them.
3. Remove the gasket
This step is mainly to remove the screws that fix the washer. If it is difficult to remove, you can use penetrating lubricant to loosen the screws, then remove them, and perform corresponding inspections on the inspection screws and valve core. If there is damage, Please replace with an accessory of the same model.
4. Replace the gasket
(1) Replace the old washer with an identical new washer. If you choose the same model as the old washer, the faucet will no longer drip.
(2) Observe the old washer carefully, you can see that one of its slopes is flat and needs to be replaced with the same new washer. When hot water flows through the gasket with cold water design, the water outlet will be blocked due to the violent thermal expansion, which will slow down the flow of hot water.
5. Install accessories
Fix the new washer to the valve core, then reinstall the parts in the faucet, and then rotate the valve core clockwise, wait until the valve core is in place, and then reinstall the packing nut.
